Twenty20 (T20) cricket

Twenty20, or T20, now rage in the cricketing world, started as a gimmick in 2003 to get county spectators back to English stadiums. It was Stuart Robertson and John Carr who were tasked by the England and wales cricket board to revive a sport which was losing rapidly due to the too much exploration of one day international matches and test matches. The two, after market research, realized that 50- over game was too long to hold, due to too much time taking during 30 to 40 overs, which came up with twenty20, an abbreviated 20-over version of the gentleman’s game. Various analysis and ideas are indulged in to ensure the sustainable success of other formats of the game and success of this new venture of T20 format market level. Robertson and Carr were successful in getting the crowds back and this stop-gap solution quickly caught fancy of the cricketing world. In the current scenario, it is considered to be the most entertain able game of all the other formats. Three and a half hours, twenty overs a side and non-stop entertainment guaranteed. T20 rules, why not.
